Can you clear a lot without taking down every tree?
Absolutely. Selective clearing is one of the most common things people ask for on a lake lot. We open up the view and the access while keeping the healthy mature trees that give the place its character and shade.
What happens to the trees and brush you remove?
Your choice. We can grind the material into mulch and leave it on site, which helps with erosion and soil, or haul it away for a clean finish. We will talk through the options for your property.
Do I need a permit to clear my land?
It depends on where it is and how much you are clearing, and clearing near a shoreline is watched more closely than clearing an upland lot, since shoreland rules protect the planted buffer along the water. We will flag what is usually required and point you to your county to confirm.
